2027 Chinese zodiac forecast for the Monkey

A year to follow the flow and your own plan · born 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016

What kind of year is 2027, the 丁未 year?

2027 is the year of 丁未, a year of the Goat. In Korean saju (Four Pillars astrology) each year has two characters: the top one, 丁, is a candle or lamp (yin fire); the bottom one, 未, is Goat · earth · late summer (about July). The fire above feeds the earth below, so the year's energy flows gently downwards.

2027 for the Monkey

The Monkey's 申 and 2027's 未 neither bind nor clash. Read it as a year to run your own plans without much shaking.

By the twelve spirits (12신살, a Korean set of nicknames read from your animal), 2027's 未 is the Heaven (what is beyond your control) for the Monkey. Rather than fight what you can't control, go with the flow.

Before you read an animal's year

Your animal is only one of the eight characters of a saju chart: the bottom character of your birth year. People of the same animal meet the same year very differently depending on their birth month, day and hour, and a reading actually starts from the top character of your birth day. Take the animal's year as the general mood; for your own year, get a reading from your birth date and time.

The zodiac year turns at Ipchun (about 4 February), not on 1 January or the Lunar New Year: if you were born in January or early February, you may belong to the previous animal.
