2027 Chinese zodiac forecast for the Ox
A year of clashes and change: choose prepared changes · born 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021
What kind of year is 2027, the 丁未 year?
2027 is the year of 丁未, a year of the Goat. In Korean saju (Four Pillars astrology) each year has two characters: the top one, 丁, is a candle or lamp (yin fire); the bottom one, 未, is Goat · earth · late summer (about July). The fire above feeds the earth below, so the year's energy flows gently downwards.
2027 for the Ox
丑 and 未 meet head-on in a clash (충). Read it as a year of movement and change — moving house, changing jobs, rethinking ties — so choose changes you have prepared for rather than rushing.
丑 and 未 are in punishment (형): friction and adjustment come easily. The more carefully you handle contracts, rules and health checks, the more the year refines you.
By the twelve spirits (12신살, a Korean set of nicknames read from your animal), 2027's 未 is the Moon Spirit (things held back, slow going) for the Ox. Things may move slowly; don't let it make you hasty.
Before you read an animal's year
Your animal is only one of the eight characters of a saju chart: the bottom character of your birth year. People of the same animal meet the same year very differently depending on their birth month, day and hour, and a reading actually starts from the top character of your birth day. Take the animal's year as the general mood; for your own year, get a reading from your birth date and time.
The zodiac year turns at Ipchun (about 4 February), not on 1 January or the Lunar New Year: if you were born in January or early February, you may belong to the previous animal.
